Millions of people participate in road races each year and we all can make a big impact on our planet by making each race as green as possible. Millions of race flyers and bag stuffer where printed and 39 BILLION water bottles where used in the United States alone last year. If each race does its part to recycle and use recycled products the running community can be a leader in making our planet a better place for our kids.  The Go Green Road Race Program is designed to help guide road race organizers to put on a green race. Race organizers can use this simple program to make their race a Certified Go Green Road Race and then they can proudly display the Go Green Road Race Logo on their websites and race shirts. This will let runners know this is a Go Green Road Race so they know to sign up and do their part. We at Go Green Road Race what to promote a Fit Body and Fit Planet so get out there and run green!

Go Green Road Race is proud to announce a partnership with the Soles4Souls organization. Last year Americans discarded more than 300 million pairs of shoes which end up in our landfills. Soles4Souls will save your shoes from an early death by cleaning them and shipping them to needy people around the world. Road Races around the world can take their Go Green Road Race to another level by becoming a drop off site for Sole4Souls. The program is very simple; Soles4Souls will provide the Go Green Road Races that choose to participate in the Soles4Souls program a drop of box. Runners can bring their used running shoes on race day and the race director will send the used shoes to Soles4Souls. To learn more about Soles4Souls please visit their website at www.giveshoes.org/active  and to make a donation please click here.
